From The Pro-Choice Perspective

For the past week I’ve been hearing a lot about pro-life vs pro-choice. Yesterday thousands journeyed to Ottawa for the anti-abortion rally. I don’t believe this is an issue that needs to be addressed but since thousands are marching let me rant on my blog for a couple minutes.

If you don’t know by now, abortion is the termination of pregnancy before fetal viability. And yes, there is that option of giving the child up for adoption. But have you thought about the effects of adoption on children? 2015 statistics show at least 72% of adopted children suffer from depression, anxiety, rejection and loss of indentity. Adopted children are 4 times more likely to attempt suicide. How sad it is for a woman to save a child’s life only for them to eventually take their own. To make matters worse there are approximately 400,000 children in foster care in the US and 9 out of 10 foster children are abused by their foster parents.

Which leads to my next question, if the woman doesn’t want the child why force her to have it? Then they wonder why children are abused and neglected by their birth parents.

How about we start marching for current issues that are affecting us such as racism and terrorism? It seems as though because we can’t solve our problems we poke our nose in women’s uterus to deceive ourselves into believing we are improving the world.

What bothers me the most is when men think they have a say in this. But I suppose just as every one else meddles in personal matters they should too.

But when all is said and done, women will still have abortions so if it helps you sleep at night you guys can continue marching 🙄.

*sings* si people business and leave it alone 😴
